Have any of you ever tried to update from a Blackberry? It’s definitely not the easiest thing I’ve done. Lucky for you, I have long fingernails, which facilitates this whole “typing on a minuscule keyboard” concept, and an enormous amount of patience, especially when it comes to sharing my culinary adventures with all of you.
Alex and I are currently in Barcelona, one of the culinary capitals of the world. Unfortunately, due to my lack of real computer, I have no pictures for you today, but I thought I would stop by and give you a sneak peak of what I have in store for you as soon as I get back to my lovely WiFi, which I have so often taken for granted.
First off, we have tapas. Tapas as a concept are absolutely glorious to someone like me who can almost never make a decision in a restaurant. Yes, I’m that “come to me last” person. The idea of tapas is awesome, and I’ve made it a point to sam)le as many as possible so far.
Next, there’s Sangria. As Mrs. L pointed out in response to my last post, there are two camps when it comes to Sangria, the lovers and the haters. I fall with the former: I love both traditional red and “cava” or white Sangria. Since I’ve been here I’ve sampled Sangria from a can (not as disgusting as you think), as well as an entire liter of Sangria sitting on Las Ramblas. (OK… Alex helped.)
I also have plans to hit a two hour gastronomic walking tour of the city, the necessary paella stop, as well as an apparently incredible chocolate shop recommended to me by one of my readers. Which brings me to the selfish portion of today’s post: are there any other readers out there with recommendations for Barcelona? Leave a comment if so.
Hasta mañana!
