As someone who adores books and adores libraries perhaps even more, it might seem strange that I’ve never belonged to the New York Public Library. I remember going as a child only once, and while my Actress sister belonged there when she lived in NYC and I accompanied her as far as the lobby a handful of times, the lion-flanked steps of the Library have never been my home.
