It. Is. Hot.
Paris temperatures don’t usually hover in the high 90s, but we’ve been known to have the occasional heatwave, and this is it. And while, I know, weather is a boring topic, it does have a major effect on how I eat and cook (or don’t cook). After all, most French people (and I count myself in that group, at least in this case) don’t have air conditioning.
Oh, yes.
So in 97 degree weather, it’s all I can do to stand in my darkened kitchen, blinds closed, and chop veggies. I’ve been known to eat plain cold watermelon for dinner. But for something more substantial, this simple, delicious, seasonal combo will do.
Perhaps I’ll write more when the air sinks below my base body temperature. For now, eat salad, and stay cool.

2 cups grape tomatoes, halved
