1. I first rode on the London Eye when I was 13 and was doing a summer study program at Cambridge. We went to London for the weekend, and we rode the London Eye. I remember very little of the views and remember far more the glass bubbles that they put you in.
2. I am a huge Doctor Who fan, so I couldn’t visit London without seeing the Tardis at the Earls Court tube station. Unfortunately, David Tennant didn’t poke his head out and invite me on an adventure through space and time…
3. Speaking of Doctor Who, classic Who fans will recognize this view of Big Ben and Parliament from Westminster Bridge. (If not, check this out.) Oh, and if you’re interested in taking a Doctor Who tour of London, you can check out my list of must-sees.)
4. Of course, no trip to London would be complete without some truly amazing beer. This was one of my favorites at Fourpure Brewing Company, one of several stops on the Bermondsey Beer Mile.
5. I didn’t used to be a huge fan of London, but the more time I spend there (and the more friends I make there!) the more I find it grows on me. I’ll be heading back in just a few weeks, so give me a shout if you think there’s something I should see!
I really loved the <a href="http://www.vam.ac.uk/moc/"V&A Museum of Childhood on my last visit (free entry)! My London friends live in Brixton, so I’ve spent the most time there actually (neat neighborhood).
Hope you have a nice visit!
